What is an intermittent problem?

• An intermittent fault, often called simply an "intermittent", is a malfunction of a device or system that occurs at intervals, usually irregular, in a device or system that functions normally at other times. • Lightning storms pose an even greater danger to computers. The safest way to avoid damage to your electronic devices is to unplug them during a lightning storm. Unplugging during a power outage is not as crucial, especially if you have a surge protector.
